Description
  • Direct the daily allocation and scheduling of heavy machinery and transport vehicles across all active company's construction sites nationwide.
  • Monitor equipment utilization rates and collaborate with Site Managers to ensure optimal vehicle availability and prevent project delays.
  • Manage vehicle registration, licensing, site permits, and insurance renewals in full compliance with Egyptian transportation and traffic laws.
  • Design and execute comprehensive Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs to maximize equipment longevity and operational reliability.
  • Oversee central and site-level workshops, supervising mechanical engineers, technicians, auto-electricians, and workshop supervisors.
  • Manage emergency breakdown responses and mobile repair units across remote job sites to minimize asset downtime.
  • Track and control fleet operating expenditures, including fuel consumption, spare parts, tires, and routine maintenance costs.
  • Implement GPS/Telematics systems to monitor vehicle routing, driver behavior, fuel theft prevention, and idle engine hours.
  • Conduct total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis to make data-driven recommendations on asset repair vs. replacement, resale, or rental options.
  • Recruit, train, evaluate, and manage heavy equipment operators, drivers, and workshop technical staff.
  • Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols across all workshops and vehicle operations, targeting zero-incident standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of operator licenses, safety certifications, and site compliance.
  • Partner with Procurement to negotiate contracts for spare parts, fuel suppliers, third-party repair shops, and rented equipment.
  • Maintain optimal spare parts inventory levels at central workshops to eliminate maintenance bottlenecks without tying up excess capital.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive fleet management experience.
  • Mechanical experience is a must.
  • Understanding of Egyptian traffic laws, transportation regulations, and HSE safety standards on construction sites.
  • Strong leadership, budget management, sharp analytical skills, emergency problem-solving, and contract negotiation.
