Manage factory floor personnel, schedules shifts, and assigns technicians to specific specialized stations like welding, CNC wire forming, or electro-plating. Partner with procurement teams to track inventory levels of diverse raw materials, ensuring metals, glass, wood, ceramic, and marble are available when needed. Establishe rigorous testing protocols to check that bespoke and retail lighting fixtures meet international safety, structural, and aesthetic standards. Oversee preventive maintenance programs for heavy factory machinery, pressing molds, and coating equipment to minimize unexpected downtime. Analyze factory floor layouts and assembly lines to eliminate production bottlenecks, reduce waste, and increase overall manufacturing efficiency. Enforce strict local and international workplace safety regulations (OSHA standards) to maintain a zero-accident environment on the 23,500 sqm factory floor. Monitor operational costs, tracks labor expenses, and manages material scrap rates to keep production strictly within the company's financial targets. Work directly with the Design and Engineering teams to evaluate if new, complex custom lighting blueprints are physically and financially viable to manufacture. Gather daily production output data, monitors defect rates, and delivers performance reports to executive leadership regarding factory throughput. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering. 8 - 10 years of progressive manufacturing or factory floor experience within the same industry. Familiarity with CNC forming, welding, electro-plating, and molding. Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and local safety compliance laws. Strong problem-solving skills to handle machine downtime or material delays. Excellent skills to bridge the gap between executives and factory workers.
