Coordinates with production for the required supply of steam, water, compressed air according to the quantity and the quality needed to support efficient production operations.
Prepare and submit reports related to all utilities and ammonia refrigeration operations and provide explanation for variances in resources used in his area of operation.
Coordinates with QA department for various laboratory checks required on steam, water, and compressed air to ensure the supply of utilities is compliant with established standards.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues in refrigeration (Ammonia) and utility systems.
Develop root cause analysis for major breakdowns to prevent any future occurrences.
Exercise proper supervision over technicians to resolve any technical issues related to utilities and cold stores and ensure the companys' rules and guidelines are followed accordingly.
Support and contribute to have proper technical store management, by managing the spare parts availability.
Actively support all management programs in continuous improvement, installation of new machinery, and regular audits.
Track utility consumption and identify efficiency improvement opportunities.
Ensure proper training and updates are provided to his subordinates to maintain efficient and effective operations.
Assists in managing budget, building the maintenance budget and request, implementation, reporting and tracking in line with the company's strategy.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, breakdown analysis, and troubleshooting actions.
Responsible to achieve KPIs of his department.
Adhere to Health, Safety, Environment, Quality & Security policies, and procedures in all site activities; also, to ensure that his subordinates are following the same rules.
Uphold the companys' values and promotes a culture of technical excellence.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical or a related engineering discipline from a reputable university.
Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in utilities engineering, preferably in FMCG.
Awareness of refrigeration principles (Ammonia).
Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection).
Familiarity with energy management principles and practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Knowledge of relevant local codes and regulations is preferred (e.g., Egyptian Building Code).
