Conducts assigned complex audit engagements –that requires special qualifications & experience - successfully from beginning to end.
Participate in actual fieldwork to ensure quality of work and procedure.
Supervises junior auditors assigned to engagements providing guidance and overall review of deliverables.
Develops audit programs and testing procedures.
Obtains and reviews evidence ensuring audit conclusions are well-documented
Ensures adherence at all times to all applicable department and professional standards
Communicates assigned tasks to engagement team in a manner that is clear and concise ensuring high quality, accurate, and efficient results.
Ability to observe and understand business processes ensuring processes are documented completely and accurately.
Ability to apply audit standards through practical application.
Demonstrated ability to lead a small team and ensure successful results.
Successful audits and identification of major risks and deficiencies
Results Oriented – Meet deadlines on assignments.

Bachelor’s degree in commerce or any relevant field from a reputable university.
Minimum 10 years of Banking experience including 3 years of broad based audit.
Wide exposure to internal audit processes and practices.
Excellent knowledge of internal audit practice in banks.
In-depth knowledge of CBE regulations.
Proven track record preferably with banking sector experience.
Internal audit qualifications: CIA is an asset.
In-depth knowledge of CBE regulations.
Solid listening & understanding skills.
Excellent Communication skills.
Excellent organization & follow up skills including the ability to handle competing priorities & meet all deadlines & commitments.
Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with a team.
