  Description

  • Plan, deploy, and configure new Linux servers while integrating them with existing infrastructure.
  • Ensure optimal server performance through efficient patch management and resource optimization.
  • Provide Tier 2/3 support for complex technical issues, collaborating closely with other IT teams.
  • Conduct training sessions to educate junior administrators and end-users on Linux systems.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Ansible, Python, and Bash to streamline system administration tasks.
  • Implement configuration management solutions (e.g., Ansible, Puppet) to facilitate deployment and maintenance.
  • Implement and manage security protocols, including SSL/TLS certificates, user access control, and system hardening.
  • Conduct regular security audits and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Ensure data integrity by managing regular backups and disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss.
  • Provide Linux expertise for IT projects, ensuring successful implementation.
  • Manage relationships with vendors for hardware, software, and service support.
  • Configure and maintain essential networking services (e.g., DNS, DHCP, NFS, LDAP) and resolve network-related issues affecting Linux servers.
  • Set up system monitoring tools and generate performance reports to track system health, uptime, and resource utilization.

  Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a reputable university.
  • A minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in Linux system administration, preferably with Ubuntu.
  • Relevant certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or CompTIA Linux+.
  • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates and configuring web servers (Apache, Nginx).
  • Familiarity with MinIO or other cloud-native object storage solutions.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Shell.
  • Knowledge of VMware and virtualization technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team collaboration skills.
  • Fluency in English.
