Description
- Direct and manage client engagements, guiding teams to assess the current state of data protection practices, identify data risks, and develop strategic plans to enhance data protection measures.
- Build strong and collaborative relationships with key client stakeholders and serve as their primary point of contact for information on engagement objectives, timelines, and deliverables.
- Provide subject matter expertise on data protection regulations and industry standards, to support clients in achieving regulatory compliance and adhering to industry benchmarks.
- Design comprehensive data protection frameworks aligned with the unique needs and risk profiles of clients.
- Develop and implement data policies and procedures, and specify data protection measures to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information.
- Assess the unique data protection needs of each client, identify suitable solutions to meet these needs, and manage the implementation of necessary systems and platforms (e.g., DLP, MDM, DRM, and CASB).
- Conduct data protection impact assessments (DPIAs) to evaluate the potential risks and impacts of data processing activities.
- Design and roll out a data breach incident response management framework, covering all phases of incident handling.
- Create materials and facilitate training sessions to educate client employees on data protection strategy, policies, procedures, best practices, and their role in safeguarding information.
- Coach and mentor junior team members, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to cultivate their professional growth and success within the organization.
- Support business development activities, including proposal development, client presentations, and relationship management, to drive growth and expand the data protection practice.
- Establish and maintain relationships with technology vendors.
- Assess data protection capabilities of technology vendors and guide clients in selecting providers.
- Serve as liaison between clients and service providers, facilitating communication, issue resolution, and negotiations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related major from a reputable university.
- Professional certifications in data protection or cybersecurity (e.g., Security+, CIPP, CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.
- 3-9 years of experience in data protection and security roles, with a focus on DLP, MDM, CASB, and other security tools and technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to travel as needed to client sites.
