This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information when you create a profile and apply for vacancies on our job portal (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.
1) Information We Collect
- Account & Profile: name, email, phone, location, work authorization, photo, links, résumé/CV, cover letters, education, work history, skills, certifications, preferences (e.g., salary range, relocation), and any files you upload.
 - Applications & Activity: jobs you view/apply to, answers to application questions, messaging, interview times, offer/placement status, and actions you take on the site.
 - Log/Device Data: IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, approximate location, and cookies or similar technologies.
 - Social/Single Sign-On: if you choose to sign in with a third-party provider (e.g., Google, Facebook, LinkedIn), we receive identifiers and basic profile info authorized by that provider.
 - From Others: employers/recruiters using the Services, background/screening vendors you authorize, anti-fraud/security partners, and public sources you link.
 
2) How We Use Information
We use information to:
- create/manage your account and profile;
 - enable job discovery, applications, messaging, and interview scheduling;
 - share your profile/application with employers and recruiters per your actions or visibility settings;
 - personalize results and recommendations;
 - provide support; secure, monitor, and improve the Services; prevent fraud/abuse;
 - analyze usage and develop new features;
 - send service notices and, where permitted, marketing communications (you can opt out at any time);
 - comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
 
3) Sharing of Information
- Employers/Recruiters: when you apply or set your profile to visible, we share relevant information with the employer or its agents to process your application.
 - Service Providers: hosting, analytics, communications, security, payments, and customer support vendors under confidentiality obligations.
 - Legal/Safety: to comply with law, legal process, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
 - Corporate Transactions: as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets.
 - Aggregated/De-identified: we may publish or share insights that do not identify you.
 
4) Your Content & License
You may upload content (e.g., résumé/CV, cover letters, portfolio, messages, feedback) (“User Content”).
- You retain ownership of User Content.
 - License to Ethics HR: You grant Ethics HR a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, and sublicensable license to host, store, index, parse, analyze, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, publicly perform and display User Content in any media for the purposes of operating, providing, promoting, improving, and securing the Services, and for related marketing of the Services. To the extent permitted by law, you waive any moral rights you may have against Ethics HR and its sublicensees for these purposes.
 
5) Cookies & Similar Technologies
We use cookies/local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, measure performance, and personalize results. You can control cookies in your browser; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.
6) Security
We implement technical and organizational measures (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, backups). No method is fully secure; protect your account credentials.
7) Retention
We keep information while your account is active or as needed to provide the Services and meet legal/operational requirements. Backups and logs may persist for a limited time after deletion. Employers may retain copies of applications they receive under their own policies.
8) International Transfers
We may process information in countries other than yours. By using the Services, you consent to these transfers, which may have different data-protection rules.
9) Your Choices
- Access/Update: manage your profile and account settings.
 - Download/Deletion: request a copy of your data or close your account; we will deactivate or delete your profile from employer visibility, subject to lawful retention and prior sharing.
 - Marketing: opt out via the link in any marketing email.
 
10) Children
The Services are not directed to children or minors below the minimum legal working age in their jurisdiction.
11) Third-Party Sites & Employer Policies
Third-party sites and employer systems have their own policies. We are not responsible for their practices.
12) Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified (e.g., email or in-product notice). Your continued use after changes means you accept the revised Policy.
