Description
- Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, directives, and circulars
- Maintain up-to-date awareness of CBE regulations, AML/CFT laws, and other applicable legal obligations
- Serve as the primary point of contact with the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) for reporting, audits, inquiries, and regulatory updates
- Coordinate the preparation and timely submission of regulatory reports, disclosures, and periodic returns
- Interpret new and evolving regulations, assess business impact, and drive implementation of required controls
- Collaborate with internal departments (Legal, Risk, Finance, Operations, etc.) to ensure policies and processes align with regulatory expectations
- Support internal audits and external reviews by regulators
- Monitor and evaluate changes in the regulatory landscape and advise leadership accordingly
- Maintain internal compliance dashboards and documentation for audits and senior reporting
- Train internal stakeholders on key regulatory topics and policy changes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s is a plus)
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in regulatory compliance, legal advisory, audit, or risk within a regulated institution
- In-depth knowledge of CBE laws, regulatory reporting standards, and local financial compliance frameworks
- Strong understanding of AML/CFT guidelines, corporate governance, and internal control principles
- Proven ability to manage regulatory relationships, handle inquiries professionally, and respond to audits or supervisory findings
- Excellent communication, writing, and presentation skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and process management
- Fluent in Arabic and English (written and spoken)
