  Description

  • Develop and update risk policies in alignment with regulatory and the organization's frameworks for managing Climate Risk.
  • Maintain, update, and ensure the implementation of policies and procedures in relation to Climate Risk and Environmental and Social Risk management frameworks.
  • Develop the needed plans to realize the bank and the Group’s aspiration and strategies in relation to climate risk management.
  • Carry out the induction of climate risk assessment plans in coordination with internal and external parties.
  • Conduct the needed calculation to aggregate and report financed emissions in response to local and Group reporting purposes.
  • Cooperate in developing models to test the Climate Risk scenarios and anticipate the affected sectors.

  • Cooperate with relevant stakeholders in IT, business lines, operations, and strategy divisions to develop and implement a climate risk data collection strategy.
  • Maintain registry in relation to the bank actual activity in response to the CBE and the Group requirements with respect Climate Risk as well as Environmental and Social Risk Management frameworks.
  • Support in the induction of training sessions to raise awareness of stakeholders concerning the climate risk dimension, as well as the bank’s strategy in this respect.
  • Cooperate in the preparation of business requirements specification document needed to assign external consultants and suppliers to adopt the banks and the Group’s aimed developments with respect to climate risk management.
  • Coordinate and support other stakeholders in Sustainability and Sustainably Finance Department as well as Treasury Sector for the development of green finance programs.

  Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business, Economics, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or relevant fields of science from a reputable university, a postgraduate study is preferred. 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a relevant field.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent formal writing skills.
  • Excellent awareness of the relevant regulatory and supervisor frameworks.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English.
