Description
- Define and implement comprehensive test strategies for banking applications.
- Develop test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on business and technical requirements.
- Ensure alignment of testing processes with regulatory and compliance standards in banking.
- Lead and execute functional, regression, system integration, and user acceptance testing.
- Identify, document, and track defects using test management tools.
- Collaborate with developers and business analysts to resolve defects and ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Work closely with business and IT teams to understand requirements and ensure adequate test coverage.
- Provide regular reports on test progress, defects, and risks to project stakeholders.
- Support training and knowledge transfer to end-users on tested applications.
- Ensure all test cases adhere to banking security and compliance standards.
- Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies to maintain software reliability.
- Mentor and guide junior testers in best practices for manual testing.
- Continuously improve testing methodologies and contribute to process optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from a reputable university.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in software testing, with at least 3 years in a lead role.
- Banking Background is a must
- Strong understanding of banking processes, core banking systems, and financial applications.
- Expertise in manual testing techniques, test case design, and defect-tracking tools.
- Experience working in Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- ISTQB certification or equivalent is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with banking regulatory compliance testing is preferred.
- Exposure to automation testing frameworks and tools is preferred.
