  Description

  • Develop and implement comprehensive credit risk policies for retail products, ensuring alignment with CBE requirements and the bank's internal policies.
  • Monitor compliance with credit risk policies and processes, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and CBE standards.
  • Provide recommendations in the initiation or development of retail products from the risk perspective.
  • Provide guidance and training to the retail products & policies credit risk team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including Retail Banking and Compliance, to ensure a coordinated and integrated approach to credit risk management.
  • Prepare detailed reports on policy compliance and effectiveness for senior management, including analysis and recommendations for policy enhancements.
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of credit risk policies, ensuring they remain effective and relevant in the current market environment.
  • Lead initiatives to improve credit risk processes and systems, leveraging technology and data analytics to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping of all policy-related activities, maintaining a comprehensive and accurate risk management database.
  • Analyze and interpret data to assess the impact of credit policies on retail credit portfolios, providing recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Develop strategies to address policy-related risks, ensuring the resilience of retail credit portfolios under various economic scenarios.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and regulators on policy compliance matters, providing necessary information and addressing any queries or concerns.
  • Review and approve changes to credit risk policies, ensuring alignment with the bank's risk appetite and strategic objectives.
  • Prepare and recommend modifications and new limits for the credit authorities on existing and new Retail Credit Facilities Products.
  • Responsible for the formulation and review of credit risk policies and processes, ensuring they align with the bank's strategic objectives and risk management framework.
  • Monitor industry trends and regulatory changes affecting credit policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of market developments.
  • Provide recommendations for leveraging technology and data analytics to improve policy implementation.
  • Conduct training sessions on credit risk policies and processes, promoting a clear understanding of risk management practices within the team.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of new credit products, ensuring alignment with the bank's risk appetite and strategic objectives.
  • Ensure alignment of credit products with risk appetite statements, maintaining a consistent approach to credit risk management across the organization.
  • Maintain strong relationships with retail banking staff to ensure effective communication and collaboration on credit risk policy matters.
  • Lead special projects related to credit risk policies and products, ensuring successful implementation and achievement of project objectives.
  • Adopt the bank’s policies and procedures to guarantee that the bank’s business is conducted in compliance with Local Laws, Internal Rules and Regulations, as well as International Standards.
  • Ensure the correct functioning and implementation of the Permanent Supervision, Compliance and Money Laundering, Operational Risk, and Workplace Success Guidelines whenever and wherever possible.

  Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, and Commerce (preferably English section) from a reputable university.
  • Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
  • High sense of Judgment and Scrutiny.
  • Perfect analytical skills with a focus on risk identification
  • Good Understanding of credit risk analysis.
  • Proficiency in policy development.
  • Excellent Communication & Interpersonal & Leadership Skills
  • Ability to coach and train well-qualified teams.
  • Strong background in banking activities and operations.
  • Ability to manage different tasks and assignments in parallel.
  • Excellent Computer Skills.
  • Excellent command of English (Written / Spoken).
