Description
- Manage and administer operating systems across the organization, including Windows, Linux, or other designated platforms.
- Ensure proper installation, configuration, and maintenance of operating systems.
- Monitor system performance metrics, analyze data, and identify areas for improvement to optimize operating system performance.
- Implement tuning and optimization measures to enhance system efficiency.
- Implement robust security measures for operating systems, including access controls, security patches, and vulnerability assessments.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and policies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to operating systems, system crashes, performance degradation, and software compatibility problems.
- Provide timely resolutions to minimize downtime and disruptions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of operating system configurations, procedures, and best practices.
- Create and update documentation for system administrators and end-users.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or information technology from a reputable university.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified: Linux Administrator).
- Minimum 2 - 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
- Leadership and team management experience, including the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a technical team.
- Project management skills and familiarity with project management tools.
