Description
- Develop and implement legal strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may impact the organization and provide guidance to senior management.
- Conduct legal audits and risk assessments to identify potential legal issues.
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, agreements, and legal documents, including but not limited to, vendor contracts, client agreements, and partnership agreements.
- Ensure that contracts and agreements protect the organization's interests and mitigate potential risks.
- Provide legal advice and counsel to senior management and other departments within the organization on legal matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making and provide recommendations on legal issues.
- Advise on potential legal risks and develop strategies to minimize and manage them effectively.
- Provide training and guidance to employees on legal and ethical matters.
- Build and lead a high-performing legal team, including hiring, training, and mentoring legal staff.
- Manage the legal department budget, external legal resources, and vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management to align legal strategies with business goals
Requirements
- Bachelor of Law, degree from an accredited law school and active membership in The Egyptian Lawyers Association.
- 15-20 years of relevant experience preferably in real estate industry.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate law, contract law, regulatory compliance, and other relevant legal areas.
- Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to align legal strategies with organizational objectives.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent command of English
