  Description

  • Overseeing and managing all aspects of the Finance Department including setting department goals and objectives.
  • Overseeing the monthly end process including ensuring the accurate completion of the General Ledger, Balance Sheet reconciliations, production of the P&L statements and Cash flow statement under both local and IFRS principles.
  • Preparation of accurate monthly and quarterly financial reports.
  • Overseeing the company import procedure and coordinating with the banks regarding LC’s and currency dealings.
  • Completing the commentary around variance to budget and interpret financial information while recommending further courses of action to improve financial performance.
  • Cashflow forecasting.
  • Preparing the annual statutory accounts.
  • Submitting taxation returns and liaison with external tax advisors.
  • Liaising with external auditors, banks and authorities
  • Managing the company’s financial systems
  • Providing effective internal controls over company processes.

  Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting from a reputable University.
  • Minimum 12 years of accounting experience and Retail experience is a plus.
  • Good grasp of IFRS and CPA is a plus
  • Good knowledge of import and LC’s procedures.
  • Strong financial reporting and tax experience.
  • Advanced computer software skills, including Excel, Word,PowerPoint and other accounting packages.
  • Excellent written and verbal Arabic and English.
