Description
- Support the Top Management in the HSE Policy and Guidelines issue.
- Support the Top Management in the Organization roles and responsibilities definition, for what concerns safety aspects.
- Support the Top Management in the HSE Management System standard issue.
- Ensure in accordance with the company standards, the implementation, updating, review and auditing of the Company HSE Systems.
- Monitor the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
- Provide for motivation and familiarization of all Company personnel respecting the importance of complying with Company system procedures and all Safety equipment provided.
- Conduct safety audits within the plant and the warehouses.
- Takes part in accident / incident investigation.
- Carry out analysis of accident / incident statistics, identifying trends and suggesting improvement plans.
- Provide technical support to Senior Management on any safety related subjects.
- Carry out any in-house safety training.
- Carry out safety audits on contractors during projects execution.
- Safety related engineering input into new projects and modification programs.
- Perform Risk Assessment.
- Provide Safety support and advice, including supervision on preparation of plans and procedures for initial contract start up activities.
- Direct and promotes the Company in building and engaging in a proactive safety culture.
- Ensure that the HSE management system is in compliance with HSE policy, guidelines, applicable standards and instructions
- Support Company management in setting HSE objectives
- Selection and application of HSE methods and tools to enable the HSE management system
- Manage and review work site hazard assessments, identifies unsafe acts/conditions or unsafe behaviours, provides support, guidance and recommendations for corrective action to management team.
- Manage company safety committee, incident meetings and actively participate in plant routine meetings.
- Participate, prepare and present required safety material in Company and customer meetings.
- Manage and create safety related documents, policies and procedures for Company in compliance with regulatory agencies, e.g., OSHA, EPA, etc.
- Manage emergency response team and emergency preparedness actions.
- Direct, manage and provide expertise for incident investigations, case management, near misses, environmental and/or equipment damage.
- Responsible for reporting all safety incidents, near misses, injuries, etc.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Engineering from a reputable university.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in FMCGs and/or Manufacturing sectors.
- NEBOSH and/or OSHA certificate is a must.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Very strong command of English.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Previous experience in leading teams.
